Vocal Intensive Studios was started by professional singer and voice teacher PILAR CRAGAN to provide students with the training they want. After years in the music industry, Pilar discovered that most teachers used a general formula to teach their students and ignoring those students’ individual vocal needs. Having overcome major vocal obstacles herself, Pilar understood why every student needed to be taught with an individual vocal plan.

In 2007, Pilar began holding Vocal Intensives in New York. In January of 2009 she opened a studio in Denver. These successful vocal workshops have inspired professionals and helped Vocalists attain their goals.

Pilar Cragan is founder and principle teacher at Vocal Intensive Studios.  Pilar has performed with the Nashville Opera, Augusta Opera, Nevada Opera, Shreveport Opera, Seagle Music Colony and the Dicapo Opera companies as Pitti-Sing in The Mikado, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Guinevere in Camelot, Princess Fred in Once Upon a Mattress, Maria in the The Sound of Music, The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Frumah Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof, Carrie Pipperidge in Carousel, Prince Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus and Silver Dollar in The Ballad of Baby Doe, Jenny in The Threepenny Opera and Dulcinea in the Man of La Mancha as well as numerous performances of Side by Side Sondheim.
